Telegram messaging service sparks anti-immigration riots in UK

Watchdogs have been vocal. Ofcom, the UK’s independent communications regulator, has urged social platforms to be “proactive” in removing content that incites racial hatred or encourages violence. The UN-backed Tech Against Terrorism organization has issued an urgent warning about Telegram’s inadequate moderation, which has “fewer than a dozen” moderators, according to  Matthew Feldman, a professor at New York University, quoted by Politico . Meta, by comparison, has 15,000.
