Tech Against Terrorism (TAT) is pleased to announce its partnership with the Centre for National Training and Research Excellence in Understanding Behaviour (CENTRE-UB) at the University of Birmingham, to investigate the effects of workplace exposure to terrorist and violent extremist content.
At Tech Against Terrorism we take the risks involved in our work with graphic material seriously and actively work to prevent and mitigate the potential effects on our team. We offer industry-leading support to our staff, from operation security to post-trauma support. Through this partnership, a PhD student from the University of Birmingham will be able to access TAT’s wellbeing procedures and shadow its staff to gain further understanding of the long-term effects of workplace exposure to harmful content and its mitigation with the aim of designing an intervention to protect TAT staff and others in similar roles.
The CENTRE-UB PhD student will be supervised by Professor Jessica Woodhams and Dr Fazeelat Duran. Their investigation will follow a longitudinal design to include interviews, surveys, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
To be considered for this PhD, apply here before the 16th May 2024.
More information on CENTRE-UB can be found here.
