In response to the continuing violence in Israel and Gaza since Saturday, 7 October 2023, Tech Against Terrorism has monitored online threats to life and supported tech platforms with the removal of terrorist content related to the current crisis.

30 October 2023 - Since Hamas’s attack in Israel on 7 October, the growth of attacker-produced online content has grown exponentially.
As a result, Tech Against Terrorism activated its protocol to monitor and disrupt online terrorist activity emanating from terrorist groups in the region.
Since then, Tech Against Terrorism has sent over 150 alerts to tech platforms on Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades (IQB) and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) to ensure the quick and accurate removal of terrorist content. The alerts are sent via the Terrorist Content Analytics Platform, which verifies terrorist content found online and notifies tech companies of its presence on their platforms.
Our team have also disrupted four terrorist-operated websites which featured manifestos and information on the attacks. As part of our archiving efforts, we have downloaded 70,000 files of terrorist content dating back to 2015.
As we stated at the start of this conflict, the Israel-Gaza crisis is proving to be a litmus test for tech platforms with the sheer volume of content generated.
Tech Against Terrorism has prepared threat intelligence briefings and organised sessions for tech companies in order to provide more extensive information on content and the applicable legal frameworks, as well as recommendations on how to deal with terrorist content related to Israel and Gaza.
