This webinar is organised in partnership with the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT).
For the first webinar of the 2022 Tech Against Terrorism & GIFCT e-learning series, we take a closer look at the challenges and working solutions to moderating violent far-right extremist content and users. Discerning between non-violent, violent, and potentially violent far-right extremist content is an increasing moderation challenge for many tech platforms trying to navigate the evolution of the terrorist and violent extremist threat. In this webinar we will examine with an expert panel how far-right violent extremists communicate and operate online, the challenges to effectively moderating a constantly evolving far-right violent extremist discourse, and working solutions to addressing this threat whilst safeguarding human rights and freedom of expression.
As always, this webinar session will finish with a Q&A session that is open to all attendees. More information about the speakers and the agenda will be shared soon.If you would like to sign up to this free webinar, please register with your institutionally affiliated email address – note that registration does not guarantee participation, and access to this webinar will be limited. This webinar will be held under Chatham house rules.
