  • Researchers or civil society representatives who would like to learn more about the challenges and opportunities of the decentralised web.

DATE AND TIME: 13 September 2023 15:30PM BST

In the next webinar of the 2023 Tech Against Terrorism & GIFCT e-Learning series, we will take an in-depth look into how the decentralised web provides a new set of challenges in moderating terrorist and violent extremist exploitation of the internet.

We will discuss how the decentralised web differs from the traditional, centralised web and highlight some of the key features that have become attractive to terrorist and violent extremist actors as a result of increased moderation on the centralised web. Together with a panel of experts, we will discuss the fundamental challenges of moderating the decentralised web, as well as new opportunities for how we can counter exploitation of decentralised technologies. We will also discuss some common misconceptions of how the decentralised web functions, as well as the future of moderation on the decentralised web.

This webinar session will finish with a Q&A session that is open to all attendees.

More information about the speakers and the agenda will be shared soon.
