Organised by Tech Against Terrorism and Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT).

This e-Learning Webinar is suitable for:

  • Tech professionals seeking to understand regulations applicable to tech platforms which may be required to share data
  • Government or law enforcement officials interested in understanding the barriers to data sharing for tech platforms, to ensure they uphold user privacy
  • Researchers or civil society representatives who would like to learn more about data-sharing best practices for terrorism-related data following crisis incidents.

In this webinar of the 2023 Tech Against Terrorism & GIFCT e-Learning series, we will take an in-depth look into access and barriers to terrorism-related data following crisis incidents involving online data. Together with a panel of experts, we will discuss the frameworks in place for sharing terrorism-related data, the best practices for doing so, and the regulations that compel tech platforms to share data with law enforcement and investigators. We will also discuss the challenges of accessing such data, including the balance between sharing data and upholding privacy, and technical limitations such as end-to-end encrypted content.

This webinar session will finish with a Q&A session that is open to all attendees.

More information about the speakers and the agenda will be shared soon.
